Chapter 2

Hello World

June 18th, 1988.

This was the day of my hello world in São Vicente, São Paulo, Brazil.

Hospital São José

As you can probably guess, the city is not rich and the hospital reflects that.

Fun fact: São Vicente was the first official city in Brazil.

My father, Walter, was a factory worker for almost his entire life.

Funny enough, his job position was called "programmer" but not a code programmer—a production programmer, more like a steel production scheduler.

My mother, Leila, is a teacher from basic education to music.

She is also a pianist.

Both influenced my life quite a lot, so I'm introducing them here as soon as possible so you know them already.
